The Kansas City Chiefs face a crucial Week 3 clash against the New York Giants with Andy Reid’s team in a desperate mood, sitting at 0-2.
With a tough schedule to come after Week 3 that includes the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions, time is ticking for the Chiefs to click into gear and start winning football games. But that is easier said than done when the offense is without its two biggest weapons in Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.
Rice is still serving his suspension, and Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
But now, the Chiefs might have gotten some positive news on the injury front, and it will be music to the ears of fans.
When asked if there would be any limitations on Worthy this week, Reid replied with one word that should make Chiefs Kingdom breathe a sigh of relief.
“No,” Reid said.

Could Worthy return vs. Giants?
It is certainly trending that way, and getting a key weapon back for Patrick Mahomes could go a long way to the offense starting to pick up steam after looking so-so in the first two weeks.
Granted, we likely can’t expect Worthy to come in and play a starring role straight away, but what he will do from an offensive standpoint by simply being on the field with his blazing speed will open up opportunities for others in the passing game.
It is looming as a must-win for the Chiefs if they have any intention of making the postseason, because at 0-3, things would be rather dire.
But getting Worthy back might be the perfect tonic for the defending AFC champs to finally begin their climb back to the top of the AFC.
