‘Legend of Indiana Jones’ predicted to extend into Week 3 for Colts

After two weeks of NFL football, the Indianapolis Colts are the Cinderella story of the entire league, thanks to Daniel Jones, or as he is now known, “Indiana Jones.”

With the Colts sitting at 2-0 and playing some good football, Jones has a new lease on life as the starter, and he is playing like many expected him to when he was with the New York Giants.

With wins over the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos, the magic dust that Jones has sprinkled on this team shows no signs of slowing down. But now that there are expectations on this team coming up against the Tennessee Titans, can Jones continue his form?

CBS Sports’ John Breech thinks so.

“The Colts are so good that they never punt,” Breech wrote. “Like, ever. We are heading into Week 3 and the Colts still haven’t punted in a game, which makes the Colts the first team in NFL history to make it through the first two weeks of the season without punting. With all the hype surrounding this team heading into Week 3, a classic move by the Colts would be for them to lose this game and that’s not entirely impossible.

“The Colts offense can move the ball and the Titans offense can’t, so I think we all know where I’m going with this pick: The legend of Indiana Jones lives on for another week.”

Jones resurgence good for the soul

Through two weeks, Jones has thrown for 558 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions while completing 71.4 percent of his passes. Yeah, that’ll work.

Plus, he’s also rushed for three touchdowns, too, as the offense is averaging 31.0 points per game, which ranks fourth in the league, so whatever is going on in the AFC South, the Colts are reveling in it.

Now, coming up against a Titans team the Colts should beat, can Jones continue his incredible form?

In short, he has to, because there is a long list of people who are waiting for him to slip back into the Daniels Jones from the Giants.

But maybe they might have to wait another week for that.
