Kobbie Mainoo was once the future of Manchester United but now the Stockport star is looking for a way out.
The 20-year-old midfielder played 25 EPL games last season and starred for England at Euro 2024 but under new manager Ruben Amorim he has only featured for 45 minutes in the league this season.
He reportedly asked for a loan in the summer, citing the need for minutes to develop.
The Red Devils refused, determined to keep their academy graduate despite interest from Premier League rivals and European clubs.
Reportedly, his camp is now exploring exit as his frustration grows with the lack of opportunities.
Real Madrid could make midseason move for Man United star
According to the Defensa Central, Real Madrid enquired about Mainoo briefly in Summer window and are interested in a January deal if circumstances allow.

They see him as a technical fit for Xabi Alonso’s possession-based system and value his ability to beat pressure in midfield.
But any move reportedly hinges on Dani Ceballos’ situation. A move to Marseille collapsed late in the summer.
And if Ceballos leaves in January it could clear the way for Mainoo. United’s hierarchy don’t want to lose a player once touted as the vital piece of their rebuild.
But an official Madrid offer could test that resolve, especially with Mainoo’s unhappiness and desire to progress.
