The San Antonio Spurs have a lot to look forward to during the 2025-2026 NBA season because of third-year player Victor Wembanyama. He was the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and is just 21 years old.
Wembanyama missed the entire second half of the 2024-2025 NBA season last year due to blood clots in his right shoulder. He is ready to go in 2025-2026 for the Spurs and has been already preparing for the season. Wembanyama is training with a former NBA legend as the 2025-2026 season is only a little more than a month away.

Olajuwon won championships with the Houston Rockets, and he was one of the best big men of his generation. This had NBA fans reacting on Twitter to Wembanyama training with Olajuwon.
Hopefully Hakeem is teaching him all the lame moves he never tried in the game

Oh you can kiss the West goodbye now because you go have to pass through SA. The only question now will be will her get 5 to equal Timmy or 6 to eclipse him. The vets will come, ride that coattails to get that ring. OKC enjoy this year if you’re lucky, but next year kiss you xxx…

Helping the enemy is crazy work especially after he was happy to not be drafted here. He should be working with the goats Sengun and Capela

The Rockets and the Spurs are no doubt rivals in the NBA. Houston will be one of the favorites to win the NBA title in 2025-2026. As for San Antonio, they are a team that could potentially make the playoffs, but they are not there just yet as a title contender.
The Spurs will no doubt be a title contender with Wembanyama soon. In 46 games played last season with San Antonio, he averaged 24.3 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 3.7 APG, 3.8 BPG, and 1.1 SPG. Wembanyama also shot 47.6% from the field last season.
There is no doubt that a lot of Rockets fans are not happy with Olajuwon helping Wembanyama train and get ready for the 2025-2026 NBA season. San Antonio’s success in 2025-2026 is going to depend on how healthy he is and how well he can play.
