The Golden State Warriors have had quite the busy offseason, one that has seen them linked to many superstars who could potentially join the team, and that has also seen them attempt to figure out their debacle with restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga.
As the team tries for one more championship run while the age of Steph Curry and Draymond Green will allow it, the team has yet to make an official signing of anybody.
But according to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus, there’s one superstar that the Warriors shouldn’t expect to be coming their way anytime soon.
Russell Westbrook Linked to Warriors’ Rival in Free Agency
In Pincus’ free agency predictions, the writer projected that former Denver Nuggets point guard Westbrook would be signing with the Sacramento Kings, likely as a backup guard behind Dennis Schroder.
Either way, Westbrook would be in California, northern California to be precise, just not the team that Warriors fans would hope for.
Pincus predicts Westbrooks signs with the team for a two-year minimum deal and a player option.
Returning to Denver would still be an option for the 2017 NBA MVP, but with all of the signings the team made this offseason at the guard position, it doesn’t seem that resigning Westbrook is high on the Nuggets to-do list before the season starts.
Westbrook played in 75 games for the Nuggets in the 2024-25 season, starting 36 of them and averaging 13.3 points and 6.1 assists per game.
