Barcelona have had a handful of exits this summer.
With the transfer window winding down, Barcelona’s Hector Fort was in high demand with several clubs interested in the youngster.
Everton inquired about Fort in an attempt to seal a late move for the defender, and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed where Fort will be playing this season.
Which club is Fort moving to?
According to Romano, Fort has agreed to a loan move to La Liga club, Elche.
The deal doesn’t include an option to buy Fort, as Barcelona see him as a valuable asset in the future.

The youngster will gain more first-team experience with Elche and will join Inaki Pena at the club, who is also on loan from Barcelona.
A move to Mallorca for Fort ultimately collapsed, and Everton looked to make a last-minute deal for the Spaniard before Elche eventually made the breakthrough.
Fort will rejoin Barcelona following the 2025/26 season, with Hansi Flick still seeing the 19-year-old as a potential option going forward.
Jules Koundes and Eric Garcia are the preferred right-backs for Flick, but if Fort makes good contributions for Elche, he could find himself back with the Barcelona first-team next season.
