Jarren Duran hit one to the one spot that gives you a chance for an inside-the-park home run at Fenway Park.
That triangle, way out just to the right of dead center, gives a speedster an opportunity in the Boston Red Sox historic home ballpark.
When Duran hit the ball out there on Sunday, and he saw the Pittsburgh Pirates’ outfielders struggle to handle it initially, he knew this was his chance.
He took off full throttle and ran all the way around for an inside-the-parker.
It’s the first one at Fenway Park since Jacoby Ellsbury did it in 2011, according to Just Baseball.
Jarren Duran electrifies Fenway with an inside-the-park homer!
Fenway hadn’t seen one since Jacoby Ellsbury back on Sept. 19, 2011.

Duran took 14.71 seconds to go from home to home. That’s the fastest time in MLB this season and fastest for the Red Sox in the Statcast era (2015), according to MLB Network’s Sarah Langs.
You can see in the video that as soon as the ball trickled past the Pittsburgh right fielder, Duran hit a whole extra gear. He could sniff out the opportunity.
It was Duran’s 14th home run of the year.
He threatens with his speed all the time. He led the AL in triples last year, with 14, and is again leading the league so far this season, with 12.
But to get those extra 90 feet, everything needs to break right.
And on this swing on Sunday, it did.
