Newcastle United are back amongst Europe’s elite after clinching a spot in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
Eddie Howe led the Magpies to the 2023/24 UCL but this is his first experience of the new league phase format of Europe’s top club tournament.
A fifth place finish in the Premier League at the end of 2024/25 secured their spot in the tournament and Howe will be chasing a place in the knockouts.
The club have never made it out of the UCL group stages before and European nights back at St. James’ Park will be special for the Toon Army.
The summer has been dominated by transfer frustration for Howe with several targets missed by the club amid ongoing uncertainty over where Alexander Isak will be playing after the September 1 deadline.
Here is how their Champions League schedule looks for the league phase in 2024/25.
