
Atletico Madrid is interested in bringing another attacker this summer transfer window after weeks being linked with Juventus forward Nico Gonzalez. The club reportedly needs to make a sale in order to bring in another player.
A player that is now linked to a move to Atletico Madrid is Yannick Carrasco, who used to play for the club in two different times.
According to Matteo Moretto via Objectivo Atletico, Carrasco has been offered to Atletico Madrid. The club is looking for a dribbler, and Carrasco is included in the list of targets the club currently has.
The Belgian winger is 31 years old and plays with the Saudi Pro League club Al Shabab. He played 16 league games last season, where he scored two goals and provided four assists.
In his first season with Al Shabab, Carrasco scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 24 league games.
Yannick Carrasco’s history with Atletico Madrid
Carrasco first joined Atletico Madrid in 2015, where he stayed at the club for three seasons. His best season during his first stint was the 2016-17 season, where the Belgian scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 35 La Liga games.
His second stint at Atletico started in 2020, after two years in China with Dalian Yifang, now rebranded as Dalian Professional FC. He joined Atleti on loan from the Chinese club for the second half of the 2019-20 season.
His third stint at Atleti lasted four seasons, and his best season then was in the 2020-21 season, where he scored six goals and provided ten assists.
In total, Carrasco made 266 appearances with Atletico Madrid, scoring 47 goals and providing 45 assists.
