Amari Cooper is back in the silver and black but this time at a discount price.
After spending almost his first four season with the Raiders (2015-2018) the wideout has returned to the team on a one-year deal. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport first reported the news and later that evening was the first to report the financial details of the contract.
Cooper, 31, will make a base salary of $3.5 million and can make a maximum of $6 million. 500k of in-game rosters bonuses and $2 million of incentives are baked into the deal as well.
Cooper’s deal best resembles Tyler Lockett’s contract, which is a one-year, $4 million deal with the Titans. Both are veterans getting short deals that are low risk for the teams.

This comes in the wake of Raiders’ wideout Jakobi Meyers requesting a trade. Cooper, who had 20 receptions for 297 yards for the Bills last year, could be asked to step into a larger role alongside Brock Bowers.
It’s a nice signing for Las Vegas who picked up a savvy veteran to fill a need at a low price.
