The Browns had the busiest quarterback room entering the 2025 preseason. They drafted Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders while also rostering Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco.
The franchise named Flacco the starter for Week 1. It doesn’t mean he’ll remain the starter all season, but he’s got the keys to the offense for now. He hasn’t played in preseason yet, and it’s unlikely the 40-year-old gets many reps, if any.
The final preseason match against the Rams will likely be for Pickett, Sanders and Gabriel to showcase some more of their talent.
Meanwhile, the Rams, who are also 2-0 in the preseason, will likely start Stetson Bennett IV again. He’s played well in his first two preseason games, but he won’t get the starting job over veteran Matthew Stafford.
This will be the final look at both teams before the regular season gets underway in September.
