Tottenham Hotspur secured a 3-0 win against Burnley in their opening Premier League match of the season on August 16.
While they started off the league season with a victory, Spurs have eight outstanding injuries in their squad, including Dejan Kulusevski (knee injury) and James Maddison (cruciate ligament tear), who are expected to be out of action for the remainder of the year.
Tottenham have also faced several hiccups with respect to potential signings in the summer transfer window, with the recent one being their pursuit of Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
Earlier reports suggested that Spurs were confident of signing Eze. However, now, Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement worth up to £67.5m ($91m) to acquire the Englishman’s signature.

“To make it clear, I don’t want any players that don’t want to come to the club. If they don’t want to come to the club and wear this fantastic badge then we don’t want them here. And I’m pretty sure the fans would feel the same,” as per ESPN.
“If they don’t want to put the fantastic shirt over their head, play for the badge, play for the club, really enjoy it, no problem. Then [we] don’t want them there. I think that’s a key message.”
Frank & Co. are set to face Manchester City next in the Premier League on August 22 at Etihad Stadium and would be hoping to bag their first consecutive win of the campaign.
