FC Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado impressed fans as he became a regular first-team player for the team last season. Casado quickly earned a spot in the starting lineup at the start of last season and was pivotal in key games.
Hansi Flick enjoyed Casado’s game for the team, but soon the player would slowly get fewer minutes as injuries hindered him, and Frenkie De Jong earned his spot back in the midfield.
Casado made 23 appearances in La Liga and 10 appearances in the Champions League last season, but now his future at the club is a concern for fans.
New reports suggest that Barcelona may consider selling the midfielder this summer due to the financial regulations in La Liga being a struggle for the club. A move away from the club is possible if Casado decides to leave.
Clubs like Wolves from the Premier League are interested, and a price tag of 30 million euros is reportedly set. Fans do not want to see the player leave despite reports suggesting that he will not receive a lot of minutes like he did last season.
According to new reports in Spain, a La Liga club already made an offer to take Casado on loan, but it was rejected.
The only way FC Barcelona can consider Marc Casado’s Departure
According to RAC 1, Girona requested a loan move for Casado this summer, but Barcelona and the player consider it an option. The midfielder does not want to leave Barcelona.
As of now, Barcelona does not want to sell or get rid of Casado this summer unless a good offer arrives. This also depends on Casado, who either will not be persuaded to leave due to his love for the club or persuaded that a move could allow him to get significant minutes.
Casado played in the Barcelona preseason, including the Asian tour and the Joan Gamper Trophy. He was benched against Mallorca over the weekend. Barcelona’s next game is against Levante on Saturday.
