Bucks trade proposal sends out Giannis Antetokounmpo for pair of All-Stars

The Milwaukee Bucks have been one of the most active teams of the offseason, and that might not stop.

This summer has been a wild one for the Bucks. With rumors about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future swirling nonstop, the team has tried to do everything it can to ensure he’s satisfied.

By adding Myles Turner and surrounding him with shooters this offseason, the Bucks could be a threat in a weakened East next season. Yet, Milwaukee might have to face its biggest fear and send its superstar elsewhere.

Giannis to Miami?

In Bleacher Report’s recent article ranking some of the most valuable trade chips in the league, Grant Hughes had Kel’el Ware at No. 3 and explained how he could be the centerpiece of a deal for Antetokounmpo.

Heat receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks receive: Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, Kel’el Ware, 2027 first-round swap, 2029 first-round swap, 2030 first-round pick, 2031 first-round swap, 2032 first-round pick

Sure, the Bucks might not want to send Antetokounmpo out whatsoever, but they might need to consider it if they get a deal like this from Miami. Considering the Bucks aren’t quite title contenders, this deal might not change much about their status in the play-in tier of the East.

With some young pieces in Herro and Ware coming along with a haul of picks and pick swaps, the Bucks could be in for a fun future. Meanwhile, the Heat are also star-hunting and might not be afraid to go all-in on a deal like this after their mishandling of the Jimmy Butler situation.

While this deal is far from perfect for both sides, it might be worth the gamble for Milwaukee and Miami.
