Scheffler started the tournament with a -4 under, 66, and followed it up with a second day, -5 under, 65, followed by a day three -3 under 67. His final day, all he needed to do was. It did not come without drama after missing a putt under three feet away at the 14th hole to give MacIntyre some hope.
The 15th hole came, and MacIntyre missed a birdie putt, while Scheffler nailed his to go back up two strokes with three holes to go. On 16, MacIntyre outdrove Scheffler, as Scottie went into the bunker. Scheffler finished with a par, while Bobby Mac ended up with a birdie to close to within one with two holes to go.
On 17, both players missed the green on a par 3. The hole has played as the hardest on the course this week. That’s when the heroics came, as Scheffler nailed a birdie from well off the green. That put him two strokes ahead heading into the final hole.

18 was not an overly dramatic hole, as Scheffler nailed his drive down the middle, and McIntyre went well off the fairway to pretty much seal the deal. Scheffler finished with a par, and McIntyre did the same.
