The Niece Motorsports team that competes in the NASCAR Truck Series has been acquired by a new ownership group.
Formerly primary sponsors, and now lead owners, is Josh Morris, the CEO of DQS Solutions & Staffing and Greg Fowler, the CEO of J.F. Electric. They assuming primary ownership from team founder Al Niece, who has led the organization since 2016, but will still remain part of the family in a reduced role.
Further, the team will still carry the Niece Motorsports branding.
General manager Cody Efaw has been named president of the new Niece Motorsports with Amanda Efaw promoted to chief marketing officer. Veteran crew chief Phil Gould is now the Director of Competition.
“This partnership is a continuation of the momentum we’ve built over the last several seasons,” said Al Niece, founder of Niece Motorsports. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished. This change allows me to return to the heart of why I got into racing – the passion and excitement of competition – while entrusting the business to partners who believe in our team and our people.”
Niece will be welcome to join the team whenever his schedule allows and the new leadership all credited him for building a championship caliber organization.
Niece intends to run four trucks for the remainder of the 2025 season and aims to retain that number for next season too. At Richmond this weekend, the team has the No. 41, No. 42, No. 44, and No. 45 trucks, and will have a shot at the owner’s championship with the No. 42.
Of the team’s nine wins, all have been delivered by now Cup drivers Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar, who will both continue to compete for the organization where their schedule allows too.
