The streaking continues: 12 straight wins for the Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have now won 12 straight games and remain unbeaten during August. The Brewers have moved to a season high 30 games over .500 on the season, and are in complete control of the National League Central.

Wednesday was another rinse, wash, and repeat performance for the Brewers, as they jumped on the Pittsburgh Pirates early, with six runs in the first four innings, and cruised to a 12-5 victory.

During the 12-game winning streak, Milwaukee has scored 103 runs. During the Pirates series, they scored 33 runs and allowed just six.

The party started with a Sal Frelick single in the third, followed by Christian Yelich driving a run in. Milwaukee scored four more in the fourth inning, and added two runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh. William Contreras drove in four runs, while Yelich added three more for Milwaukee.

The Brewers came away with 12 hits, with just three of them for extra bases, as each of their regulars in the lineup had at least one hit except for Bryce Turang. Despite the loss, the Pirates still managed 12 hits, including three from Bryan Reynolds.
