
The Milwaukee Brewers have not lost the entire month of August. That streak is now ten straight games for the best team in Major League Baseball. During August, the Brewers have outscored opponents 77-34.
Dating back to July 27, the Brewers are 13-1, with their lone loss coming on July 30 to the Chicago Cubs.
It was more of the same for the Brew Crew on Monday night. The pitching was strong, as Jose Quintana went six strong innings, allowing three hits and a single run. Then, the bullpen slammed the door on the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 7-1 win. The bullpen did not allow a hit over the final three innings.

Then, it was the offense. Christian Yelich pounded his 22nd home run of the season, and Bryce Turang smacked his 11th. Those early home runs were more than enough, as Milwaukee eventually pounded out 11 hits, with Isaac Collins, William Contreras, and Yelich each coming away with two of them.
The Brewers and Pirates are back at it tomorrow. The streak stopper on Tuesday is the right arm of Paul Skenes. Skenes will put his 7-8 record on the line, with a 1.94 ERA, as he takes on Freddy Peralta of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Milwaukee is now 6.5 games ahead of the Chicago Cubs at the top of the National League Central.
