The Milwaukee Bucks have been busy all offseason with one goal in mind, but they might not have everything sorted out.
Over the past several weeks, the Bucks have been doing everything they can to bring the roster to the level of championship contention. While every team is trying to compete for a title, this was especially critical for the Bucks as Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to weigh options about his future.
While all signs throughout the summer have pointed to Antetokounmpo being in Milwaukee when next season begins, recent reports have stated that the two-time MVP hasn’t fully committed one way or the other. With Antetokounmpo’s future still up in the air, the Bucks still have their work cut out, and it might be time for some worries in Milwaukee.
In a recent article from The Athletic, Zach Harper rated the concern for teams potentially losing their stars on a scale of 1-10. For the Bucks, Harper set the “concern-o-meter” at a 7/10.
With the Bucks coming off three straight first-round exits and some potentially reckless offseason moves, that makes sense. Perhaps, the rating is even a bit low.
As Harper noted, this offseason was far from the first time the Bucks made a big offseason splash to try and stay in the championship picture. However, these moves will eventually come with a cost, and it might be time for the Bucks to pay.
As Milwaukee looks ahead to next season, it still has its superstar in town, but the status quo could change at any time.
