
Kobe Brown wore No. 21 in his first two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers.
That just didn’t feel quite right.
Now? Brown will wear No. 24.
The digits were vacated by Norman Powell’s trade out of town.
And now, Kobe B. gets to rock 24.
Famously, of course, Kobe Bryant wore No. 24 and No. 8 in his legendary NBA career.
His greatness helped spawn a whole generation of kids named Kobe, and now they’re old enough to be reaching the league.
Brown was the No. 30 overall pick by the Clippers out of Missouri in 2023.

The 6-foot-7 forward has played 84 NBA games across two seasons.
So far, he has small averages of just 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
Brown has been much better in the G League, suggesting he still has some potential to tap into.
In two seasons of G League action, Brown has put up 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
He’s not a great outside shooter (32.3% from 3 in G League), which may limit his long-term usage and upside.
But now he’s got the right number on his back, so maybe the vibes will be better going forward.
The Clippers wouldn’t mind an improvement from the youngster. They’ve got so much veteran talent that it isn’t needed, but the more help the merrier.
