The New York Yankees traded for Ryan McMahon on Friday, but they’re far from done.
In fact, they might even be looking for another bat.
The Athletic’s Chris Kirschner reports the Yanks are looking at Minnesota Twins switch-hitting utility guy Willi Castro.
Castro is hitting .257 on the season (entering Friday night) with 10 home runs.
He’s better from the right side, at .284 with a .519 slugging.
The Twins seem to be in sell mode, and Castro is on an expiring contract that is paying him $6.4 million for the full season.

Castro would be a logical pickup because he can play second and third base. Right now, the Yankees have a pair of lefty bats at those spots in Jazz Chisholm and the new guy McMahon, respectively.
The Yankees probably also want bullpen arms, and the Twins have multiple of those potentially available like Jhoan Duran and Griffin Jax. That could allow New York to put together a bigger deal with Minnesota to fill a couple of needs with one trade.
