There are really no words.
Athletics rookie Nick Kurtz came to the plate six times on Friday night in Houston. He singled. He doubled. And he homered four times.
A 6-for-6 night with four home runs, six runs scored and eight RBI. Astounding. Incredible. Practically perfection.
Kurtz became the youngest player in MLB history to hit four homers in a game, per @JayHayKid, at 22 years old.
It’s also just the 20th 4-HR game in MLB history, and the first in Athletics history.
And it’s just the second six-hit, four-homer game in league history, joining Shawn Green.

Kurtz joins Eugenio Suarez as the second player to hit four homers in a game this season.
The A’s rookie has been on an absolute tear since his call-up.
He actually stands alone in second place for most extra-base hits by a player in his first 66 MLB games. Kurtz has an astonishing 43 of those now, trailing only Joe DiMaggio (48).
Kurtz may play for a long time, but he likely won’t ever do again what he did on Friday night in Houston. What a special night for the game of baseball.
