Aston Villa have reportedly made their stance clear on one of their stars, Ollie Watkins, amid interest from Manchester United in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Man United have already added some new faces to their squad this summer as part of head coach Ruben Amorim’s rebuilding plans to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
Reports have suggested that the Red Devils are in search of a new No. 9, who ideally has some experience in the Premier League, and Watkins appears to fit their bill.
Watkins turned heads with his performances for Aston Villa last season, netting 17 goals and providing 14 assists in 54 appearances across competitions.
Arsenal were reportedly keen on acquiring Watkins’ signature in the January transfer window, but Aston Villa were not on board with the Gunners’ proposal.
Now, Man United have recently made an enquiry to learn about the Englishman’s deal for a potential signing. Aston Villa, however, have made it clear that they are not currently interested in parting ways with Watkins for any price, according to The Telegraph.
