The Atlanta Falcons are heading into a pivotal season—one that may determine whether their long rebuild is finally paying off. After years of restructuring and falling short, it’s time for results to start showing. Third-year running back Bijan Robinson has spent his offseason making sure something positive comes from the upcoming year.
Robinson has been training with one of the best running backs in the league—Christian McCaffrey. Since entering the NFL, McCaffrey has been one of the most dominant dual-threat backs, and Robinson took note of one key aspect of his routine: recovery.
“His recovery is top notch,” Robinson said. “He will make sure he’s recovered all the way before every training session. He wants to make sure he’s feeling 100%. I took that away from him, and now I’m going to start doing the same thing because it’s only right to want to make sure your body’s at top-tier shape before you go onto the field. No matter what it is, if it’s a light day or a hard day, you always want to make sure you’re ready to go.”
Robinson was recently named to the NFL’s Top 100 list. Now entering his third season, he continues to find new ways to impress. During his reveal video, fellow running back Saquon Barkley made it clear that Robinson stands alone in one critical skill.
“There’s nobody who’s able to cut like Bijan in the NFL. There’s not. You can go argue your mom about that. … Trust me. I love myself and I think I have great cuts. There’s nobody. … It’s finna get scary for a lot of people,” Barkley said.
Robinson is already considered one of the best in the league, and according to Barkley, he’s unmatched when it comes to cutting on the field. This ability allows him to create explosive plays and move fluidly to any part of the field. If Barkley’s warning holds true, Robinson is about to put the entire league on notice.
