The Toronto Maple Leafs have likely made all their big offseason moves.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t still work to do, though.
NHL insider David Pagnotta has reported that Toronto forward Calle Jarnkrok is on the trade block.
“As the Leafs try to shed salary and create roster space for other moves, Jarnkrok joins Kampf and Robertson on the Summer Trade Watch List,” writes Pagnotta. “He has a $2.1M cap hit and owns a 10-team no-trade list. The market hasn’t been vibrant, to this point, but the Leafs will continue to dangle him.”
Jarnkrok will turn 34 in September.
Part of the center’s problem lately has been availability. In 2024-25, he played in just 19 games for Toronto. The year before, he played in 52.

Jarnkrok has played 12 seasons in the NHL overall, mostly with Nashville but also with the Leafs, Kraken and Flames.
In 718 NHL games, Jarnkrok has 137 goals, 171 assists and 426 hits.
He’d be just a depth addition for another team at this point, likely netting very little in return for Toronto.
But given the injury concerns and his lack of productivity lately, Jarnkrok is certainly expendable if the Maple Leafs can find a taker.
