Bills’ playoff legend hints at comeback to play again for Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills have a mostly set roster, at least with everyone healthy early on in training camp.

But there’s one former Bills playoff star who wouldn’t mind a return.

Gabe Davis is still sitting in free agency after a nightmare lone season in Jacksonville after leaving Buffalo.

The wideout once caught four touchdowns in an epic playoff matchup between the Bills and Chiefs. On Thursday, he joined Kay Adams and spoke about his feelings on a Buffalo return.

“I’m open to whatever I feel like is the best option, and if Buffalo is that best option, I will take it,” Davis said. “That’s definitely something I would do. I know the system very well. I know the guys very well. I feel like I can contribute big there like I have in the past. Buffalo could definitely be a team I could end up being on. We’ll see.”

Davis left Buffalo after four seasons, he had a rough 2024 campaign with the Jaguars. He played in only 10 games due to injury, and in those contests, he totaled just 20 catches.

In four seasons with the Bills, Davis had 163 catches for 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns in the regular season.

Big Game Gabe caught at least one touchdown in three consecutive playoff games between 2022-23, including that eight catch, 201 yard, four TD bonanza against the Chiefs.

The Bills don’t appear to immensely need a receiver, but never say never, especially with Davis open to the idea.
