Arsenal have already made four new signings in the ongoing summer transfer window to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Gunners concluded their 2024/25 season with a second-place finish in the Premier League for the third consecutive time in recent years. Their journey in the Champions League came to an end in the semifinals, marking a trophyless campaign.
Arsenal have signed Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Nørgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga so far in the summer.
Following their five pre-season matches ahead of the beginning of the 2025/26 Premier League, these players are expected to make their competitive debuts for Arsenal in the 2025/26 campaign.
Martin Zubimendi
Earlier this month, Zubimendi arrived at the Emirates from his boyhood club Real Sociedad after signing a five-year contract with Arsenal in a deal reportedly worth around £60m.
Reports have suggested that the 26-year-old midfielder had turned down a chance to join Liverpool last summer. He candidly admitted that the transfer to Arsenal is what he wanted, and said,

“This is a huge moment in my career. It’s the move I was looking for and one I wanted to make. As soon as you set foot here, you realise how big this club and this team are. I set my sights on Arsenal because their style of play is a good fit for me. They have shown their potential recently and the best is yet to come,” as per BBC Sport.
Zubimendi has made a total of 236 appearances for Real Sociedad during which he netted 10 goals and provided nine assists. He is expected to make his competitive debut for Arsenal in their opening game of the Premier League against Manchester United on August 17 at Old Trafford.
Noni Madueke
Arsenal signed Madueke from Chelsea on a five-year contract for a reported initial fee of £48.5m, rising to just over £50m with add-ons.
The PSV Eindhoven graduate recorded 11 goals and five assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea last season.
Following his arrival at the Emirates, Madueke expressed his excitement to contribute to Mikel Arteta’s squad and said,
“It’s already a great team with a clear identity and I can’t wait to bring my style to the team and try and help the boys as much as possible to take that next step,” as per ESPN.
Christian Nørgaard
Nørgaard joined Arsenal from Brentford in a £15m deal. The Danish midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Gunners, which also includes the option to extend for a further year.
The former Brentford captain scored six goals and provided four assists in 35 matches for the Bees last season.
After making the move to the Gunners, the 31-year-old midfielder opened up about his dream of playing in the Champions League and how joining Arsenal will make it come true.
“I’ve just turned 31 and had signed a new deal with Brentford. There’s always a little chance that a miracle could happen with Brentford, but it was probably unrealistic to play Champions League with them,” as per BBC Sport.
“Now I get to hear the anthem and be a part of a Champions League campaign. It’s a childhood dream and something I didn’t think would be possible. So it’s something I’m really, really happy about.”
Kepa Arrizabalaga
Arsenal made another signing from rivals, Chelsea, by meeting the Blues’ £5 million release clause of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arrizabalaga, who joined the Gunners on a three-year deal following his one-season loan tenure at Bournemouth in the last campaign, where the Spanish goalkeeper made 35 appearances.
The 30-year-old shot-stopper shared his thoughts on joining Arsenal and said,
“I’m really, really happy to be here, really excited and looking forward to what is coming. The ambition that is shown in this club, when I talk with Mikel [Arteta] and Inaki [Cana], how much they show me their desire to win… I think we are so close to winning and, hopefully, altogether, we can achieve it,” as per BBC Sport.
Arsenal have also been linked to signing Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP and Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia this summer. If finalised, these two potential new signings could also make their debuts for the Gunners in the 2025/26 season.
