Bayern Munich withdraw negotiations with Bundesliga star to focus on Luis Diaz

Bayern Munich are getting desperate with every passing day as they want Liverpool’s Luis Diaz to fill the void left by Leroy Sane on the left flank.

The Bavarians have faced a couple of rejections from Liverpool in their previous two bids, but they are preparing a fresh approach to lure the 28-year-old out of Anfield.

Apart from Diaz, Bayern were also chasing Bundesliga sensation Nick Woltemade, who had a great season with Stuttgart last season.

The young German forward is thought to be Thomas Muller’s long-term replacement, and given his versatility, he would have provided depth in attack to manager Vincent Kompany.

While Bayern have shown interest in the 23-year-old and have also made an offer of €55m ($64m), Stuttgart are in no mood to negotiate with the German champions.

Therefore, as per BILD’s latest report, Bayern Munich aren’t rushing into the third bid for Woltemade as they want to focus on securing Diaz from Liverpool.

According to Liverpool Echo, Bayern need to table an outstanding bid for the 28-year-old as they value the Colombian and his role in Arne Slot’s system.

What did Woltemade’s agent say about Stuttgart’s stance?

In this transfer fiasco, Woltemade’s agent, Danny Bachmann, slammed Stuttgart for their rigid stance on his client, who is ready to move to Bavaria.

“If a Bundesliga record offer of €55 million isn’t even enough for a personal meeting, the question arises what exactly VfB considers extraordinary. That was not foreseeable,” Bachmann told DPA.

The 23-year-old netted 17 goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances last season across all competitions.

Woltemade was also impressive in the U21 Euros for Germany last month, where he finished as the highest goalscorer with six goals and provided three assists in five games.

After missing out on Florian Wirtz, Bayern had identified Woltemade as his ideal alternative as they need options in attack.

However, for now, they are more invested in signing a winger for the vacant left flank.
