Malaki Starks clearly has some believers.
The star safety from Georgia comes to Baltimore looking to carry on the great defensive tradition of the Ravens.
And on Friday, he got some seriously impressive praise.
All four of ESPN’s AFC North beat writers were asked who they thought the best rookie in the division would be this year. All four named Starks.
“I’ll make it 4-for-4 and also go with Starks,” Steelers writer Brooke Pryor wrote. “No pressure! In joining a secondary with Hamilton and Marlon Humphrey, Starks is undeniably drafted into the best spot of any rookie in the AFC North, plus the Ravens have a great track record of identifying and further developing good safeties.”

Yeah, that pairing with Hamilton should be scary for opponents.
“The former Georgia standout was a perfect fit for a Ravens defense that needed to shore up the back end while also freeing Hamilton to be more versatile and work closer to the line of scrimmage,” Browns write Daniel Oyefusi wrote. “Starks should have plenty of opportunities to use his range and make plays on the ball.”
The Ravens may be trending back toward the days of fearsome defense in purple and black.
