Johnny Manziel takes shot at Cleveland Browns on podcast with Logan Paul

The Cleveland Browns took quarterback Johnny Manziel in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. “Johnny Football” was the hopeful answer for the franchise at quarterback, but unfortunately that didn’t end up being the case.

Manziel started two games in 2014, going 18-of-35 and losing both starts. The Texas A&M product appeared in nine games in 2015 and went 2-4 as a starter, throwing seven touchdowns to five interceptions. He never played a down in the NFL again after the 2015 season.

Appearing on IMPAULSIVE with Logan Paul, Manziel fired some shots at the Browns and the city of Cleveland, saying he hated it in Cleveland.

“I hated Cleveland so much,” Manziel said. “And I know that’s going to be tough to hear. That place aided to my depression for sure.”

The Browns went 1-15 the year after Manziel was released, and 0-16 the following season. They drafted Baker Mayfield in 2018, who helped the team go 7-8-1 as a rookie, and led the Browns to a playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020.
