Bulls’ Jahmir Young sets Summer League record in crazy scoring perfofmance

The Chicago Bulls have had a lot of good young players suit up at Summer League.

None have ever done what Jahmir Young did in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The lefty out of Maryland dropped 37 points. That’s the highest total in Bulls summer history.

Young was absurdly efficient, too.

He made 12-of-17 shots from the floor, including 6-for-7 from 3. Young was also 7-for-9 at the foul line in Chicago’s win.

Young needed this kind of outing.

He went undrafted out of Maryland in 2024. He spent most of last season in the G League, but also appeared for the Bulls.

But as an undrafted player, Young has to prove himself at every step.

Chicago won’t soon forget this 37-point outburst when it felt like Young couldn’t miss.

Down the road, it’s this moment and these memories that could be the difference for him making an NBA roster.
