Browns second-round draft pick Quinshon Judkins was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday, July 12.
The alleged incident is said to have happened in the week leading up to his arrest, but Judkins’ time in a South Florida jail came five days before the franchise’s rookies are scheduled to report for training camp.
More details have emerged since the initial news of Judkins’ arrest, and he was released from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Jail on Sunday, July 13.
Both the Browns and the NFL have acknowledged they are aware of the situation. The league declined to comment further, while the Browns said they are gathering more information.

Quinshon Judkins allegations
Judkins was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery on Saturday, July 12.
The alleged incident occurred on Monday, July 7, and has been called “delayed battery” as the arrest and charges came down days later. Judkins’ attorney, David Weinstein, said the incident happened when Judkins and the victim were leaving an airport.
In the arrest report, the victim says Judkins “punched her in the mouth/chin area with a closed fist,” in an argument upon leaving the airport. The report also states Judkins turned around while driving to strike her in the left arm and thigh.
Bruising in images shared with the FLPD is allegedly consistent with the victim’s account of the incident. She did not go to the hospital, although she reportedly told police that she still was dealing with pain as a result of the incident, according to TMZ.
She stated that she did not initially contact 911 because “she felt bad due to the recent success and career of the defendant,” adding that “she decided to contact Police on [July 12] after speaking with family & friends and coming to the realization something needed to be done.”
The woman said that she and Judkins are in a relationship and lived together between May 2024 and December 2024, but did not have a relationship from December 2024 to June 2025.
Judkins and the woman visited South Florida “as friends,” according to Weinstein. Court records revealed that the two stayed in Fort Lauderdale together for five days after the alleged incident, and they celebrated her birthday there.
The victim appeared to have injuries, according to the arrest affidavit. The incident report allegedly has photos of bruising.
Sunday, Judkins was released from jail on $2,500 bond.

Will Quinshon Judkins be suspended?
Judkins can face discipline if he is found guilty of any wrongdoing in violation of the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
Suspensions from this policy are handled on a case-by-case basis, meaning any discipline handed down will be impacted by the NFL’s findings.
With Judkins still being an unsigned rookie, his situation is unique in that he is not under contract with Cleveland. If the Browns wanted to sever ties, the franchise would not technically have to “cut” the rookie, but that decision will also be based upon the information it gathers.

Quinshon Judkins contract
Judkins has not yet signed a contract with the Browns. He was the 36th overall pick in 2025 and is one of many second-round picks who remain unsigned.
With his draft position, Judkins’ contract has a value of $11.4 million over four years.
While the financial figure itself cannot be negotiated, Judkins and other second-round picks are looking for more guarantees in their contracts; the 33rd and 34th overall picks in 2025 received fully guaranteed deals, while every player selected between picks Nos. 35 and 64 remain unsigned.
