The Lakers are back in Summer League action on Monday night. With a late finish before their game, tip-off was pushed back to 11:20 p.m. ET. While other young stars have already been shut down for the Summer League, Bronny James got the starting nod on Monday.
Los Angeles had a cross-town battle against the Clippers in their second-to-last game of the summer. James was overshadowed in his rookie season by all the drama surrounding his mere presence in L.A., and now he’s hoping for a more “normal” Year 2.
Despite all of the early critiques, James has looked like he has improved over the past year. Heading into this game against the Clippers, James has averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and an assist over the four games he has played in. This could be his last Summer League action if Los Angeles chooses to sit him in the finale Thursday against the Celtics.
