Mohammed Kudus makes transfer stance clear amidst multiple offers

Tottenham are pushing hard to sign West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus, with the club having seeing two bids turned down, including a second offer of £55m [$64m].

West Ham are holding out for closer to £65m [$88m], even though Kudus’s release clause sits at £84m [$114m], as per TBR Football.

The Hammers are reportedly willing to consider lower offers to free up funds for their own summer business after Graham Potter missed out on European qualification in his debut campaign.

However, Tottenham are not alone in the chase, with rivals Chelsea also tracking the Ghanaian midfielder’s situation, and Newcastle United have previously shown interest.

But it’s Spurs who have made the most aggressive move so far. The North London giants are reforming their squad under Thomas Frank, who joined from Brentford to replace Ange Postecoglou earlier this summer.

The club have already brought in Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split and finalised permanent deals for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel.

On the exit side, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has moved on to Marseille, while Fraser Forster and Sergio Reguilon left as free agents.

Mohammad Kudus makes his transfer stance clear

Tottenham’s pursuit now carries major momentum with Fabrizio Romano, one of football’s most reliable transfer sources, revealing Kudus’ position in no uncertain terms.

“Understand Mohammed Kudus is not talking to any other club at this stage: he wants Tottenham. Kudus already said yes to the Spurs project, and club-to-club talks with West Ham will continue soon. The clear intention is to join Spurs,” Romano reported via X.

He added more detail on his YouTube channel:

“What I’m told about Kudus is that Tottenham made the first proposal to West Ham. It was rejected because West Ham didn’t want to accept that value for the player, something around £50m.

“But first point is that Tottenham are expected to bid again for Kudus, so in the next few days, Tottenham want to attack again.

“Thomas Frank has approved it internally, Kudus is a top target for Tottenham this summer, a crucial target so they are prepared to advance and push for Kudus and then it will be on the player’s side.

“Probably the best news for Spurs fans is that my understanding is that Kudus wants to go to Tottenham.”
