Joao Pedro has joined Chelsea on an eight-year contract from Brighton and Hove Albion and cannot wait to get started in West London.
The forward became the latest player to swap the Seagulls for the Blues and could potentially make his debut for his new team on Saturday against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup.
Chelsea have the option of using Pedro in a number of positions, as the player is known for his versatility.
His record of 30 goals in 70 Brighton appearances across all competitions is an indication that he does know where the back of the net is.
Soon after signing for his new club, Pedro tried to endear himself to the fans through a post on Chelsea’s Instagram account.
When asked to name who he is most looking forward to playing with at Chelsea, Pedro responded with the names Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez.

The most exciting aspect of Pedro’s admission is that Chelsea fans will get to see him link up with the likes of Caicedo, Palmer and Fernandez soon.
Caicedo, Fernandez and Palmer are considered indispensable to Chelsea’s starting line-up, and it will be interesting to see if Pedro can join the trio and make himself a part of the furniture at Stamford Bridge.
