PSG plot move for 32-goal La Liga sensation

PSG may have already secured the Ligue 1 title and lifted the Champions League trophy last season, but the club’s transfer plans suggest they are far from satisfied.

Sources inside the club say manager Luis Enrique wants reinforcements who can elevate the attack to another level.

According to Fichajes, the French club is now eyeing a Brazilian forward who has already scored 32 goals in La Liga and owns two Champions League titles.

PSG are eyeing Real Madrid winger Rodrygo with Enrique personally pushing the board to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.

The club believes Rodrygo can fit seamlessly into their fluid front line, where players like Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue often interchange positions.

Rodrygo’s versatility, along with his pace and composure in tight spaces, has made him a standout option for the Parisian giants.

The Brazilian has struggled to hold down a starting place under new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso.

Despite expressing initial enthusiasm following Carlo Ancelotti’s departure, the Brazilian has found opportunities limited.

He has played just 88 minutes across four Club World Cup matches and remained an unused substitute in the Round of 16 win over Juventus.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, Rodrygo is keen to move somewhere he can secure consistent minutes and retain his place in the Brazil national team.

Arsenal are also in the fray for the PSG target

Arsenal have long admired Rodrygo and continue to monitor his situation closely, having identified him as a dream signing months ago, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Club legend Emmanuel Petit recently urged the Gunners to sign him.

Arsenal’s need for another elite winger has become more urgent after recent squad assessments.

Rodrygo is under contract with Los Blancos until 2028, and the club are reportedly asking for €80 to €90m [$94 to 106m]

However, reportedly the price could drop if talks progress after the Club World Cup ends.
