Ever since his debut in 2013, Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has proven himself to be one of the most consistent players not only at the Hot Corner, but in all of the major leagues.
And 2025 has proven to be simply another chapter in his fluent career.
Wednesday night, Ramirez was named as the American League’s starting third baseman for the MLB All-Star Game, his fourth All-Star starting nod and his seventh appearance in the Midsummer Classic.
Ramirez was also selected to the 2017 and 2018 All-Star Games, as well as each year since the 2021 edition.
The third baseman is fresh off of a 39-homer, 118-RBI 2024 season that saw him finish one home run short of a 40-40 club appearance but still saw him post a .279 batting average and finish fifth in AL MVP voting, as well as take home his fifth career Silver Slugger Award.
And the 2025 season hasn’t been any different, with the switch hitter batting .305 with 13 home runs and 38 runs batted in.
Earlier in the year, Ramirez showed a true testament to the combination of his power and speed, becoming the first player in Cleveland baseball history to record 250 home runs and 250 stolen bases in a career, becoming the second switch-hitter after Carlos Beltran to reach the milestone.
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will take place on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta.
