The Golden State Warriors have yet to sign a free agent. While the rest of the league is improving their rosters and signing key free agents, the Warriors have been quiet. Now, fans are waiting on some Warriors trade news today to see if the team can make any moves through the trade market.
One player that has been on the Warriors’ trade block all offseason is Jonathan Kuminga. Kuminga is a restricted free agent. The Warriors have been surveying the league for Kuminga sign-and-trade options.
The Chicago Bulls emerged a few days ago as a potential Kuminga suitor. Now, some NBA free agency news has been reported that a Kuminga-Bulls sign-and-trade may be unlikely.
K.C. Johnson of Bulls on CHSN reported that there has been no traction between the Warriors and Bulls over a Kuminga sign-and-trade.
If the Bulls aren’t in the business of trading for Kuminga, the Warriors may be running out of options.
If we don’t see Warriors trade news today or within the next few days, we can assume that the Warriors will be stuck with Kuminga to start the season.
Kuminga hasn’t ever fully fit in with Golden State. That being said, the Warriors retaining Kuminga could be their best free agency option left. If you look at the best remaining NBA free agents, Kuminga is one of the most talented players remaining.

While it may not be ideal, the Warriors could be stuck with signing Jonathan Kuminga. If they do, they need to pray he can turn around his attitude and commit to starring in his role.
