Bayern Munich duo lock horns in off-the-pitch battle ahead of Club World Club clash against PSG

Bayern Munich will face PSG in the Club World Cup quarter-final after both teams had big wins.

Bayern won 4-2 against Flamengo in Miami, with Harry Kane scoring twice, Leon Goretzka and an own goal the other two.

PSG cruised through their round of 16 clash after thrashing Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0, thanks to a Joao Neves double, strike from Achraf Hakimi and a forced own goal by Desire Doue.

Vincent Kompany’s team will be without Leroy Sane who has joined Galatasaray, but Jamal Musiala is back from injury and will be a big boost for Bayern.

Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry will start with Kingsley Coman out injured.

PSG have their own weapons ready with Ousmane Dembele likely to make his first start of the tournament, while former Bayern man Lucas Hernández and Willian Pacho bring experience to their backline.

Bayern stars lock horns in tight off-field showdown

During their downtime at Bayern’s training camp – Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich squared off in a heated game of table tennis football.

The game was fast, technical, and filled with banter which ended in Kimmich misjudging a crucial header, sending it far right wide of the table. Gnabry raised his arms and claimed victory.

 

Bothe players have had a decent outing at the Club World Cup – Gnabry has clocked 220 minutes in this tournament, with one assist and an impressive 91.3 percent pass accuracy.

Kimmich has played 315 minutes with one assist and a 90.8 percent pass completion, backed by a 7.35 match rating according to WhoScored.
