Tottenham Hotspur give green light for wantaway star’s departure

Tottenham Hotspur are all set to go through an overhaul this summer under Thomas Frank. The Danish tactician is looking to refresh the roster after they finished 17th in the Premier League points table.

Therefore, the Lilywhites are open to offloading many of their players to facilitate new reinforcements this summer.

Spurs are even open to selling stalwarts like Heung-min Son and Cristian Romero for the right price.

Recent updates via Sun Sport suggest that Tottenham have given the green light to Richarlison’s move to Turkish champions Galatasaray.

The Brazilian, who has suffered injuries in recent years, is looking to reset his career, and a move to Galatasaray looks extremely viable.

Galatasaray chased Victor Osimhen, but after knowing the Nigerian’s terms, they have shifted their focus elsewhere.

They feel Richarlison could be that player for the Turkish champions as they aim to defend the league title while making a deep run in the Champions League. They have also signed Leroy Sane on free transfer after his contract with Bayern Muncih ran out.

According to reports, Tottenham offered the Brazilian forward to Everton, but David Moyes wasn’t too keen to sign him.

What is Tottenham’s pricetag for Richarlison?

Tottenham are open to hearing offers for the 28-year-old. The Lillywhites have set an asking price of just £20m. So it could be a great deal for Galatasaray if they push for the Brazilian.

It hasn’t been a great tenure for the Brazilian at North London, and Spurs are looking to cut their losses by allowing him to leave this summer.

He joined Tottenham in 2022 for £50m ($68.5m) from Everton. Richarlison has netted 20 goals and 10 assists for the Lilywhites in 90 appearances. However, he has missed a lot of matches in this period due to incessant injuries.

Richarlison netted five goals and provided a couple of assists last season in 24 appearances across competitions. He never really became the player that Spurs thought they signed in 2022.

Previously, he had interest from Saudi Arabia, but with the World Cup happening next year, Richarlison is keen to stay in Europe, and a move to Turkey is imminent.
