The Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers agreed on one of the wildest trades in recent NFL history on Monday.
Miami is sending star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith, and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Pittsburgh for All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Steelers have been interested in acquiring Smith for a while, and they have also been linked as a potential landing spot for Ramsey throughout the offseason. In order to add Smith and Ramsey, Pittsburgh traded Fitzpatrick, who has been one of the best safeties in football over the last few years and will return to the Dolphins, the franchise that drafted him in 2018.
The trade between the Dolphins and Steelers caught many by surprise, including Miami superstar receiver Tyreek Hill.
Hill posted the iconic empty room meme from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with the tear emoji after seeing the blockbuster trade that took place on Monday.
The five-time All-Pro seems devastated that his teammates, Smith and Ramsey, are headed elsewhere.

We’ll see how this trade affects both teams moving forward. However, the deal between Pittsburgh and Miami will go down as one of the strangest moves in NFL history.
