Dolphins predicted to sign $80 million WR with 67 career TDs to join Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle

The Miami Dolphins are focused on fixing their roster not only for the upcoming season but also for the one after that, when they will have less than $10 million in cap space — a serious concern for the franchise. Offloading veteran Jalen Ramsey’s contract via trade at some point this summer should help alleviate the cap situation. Multiple deals are expected to be made.

A potential major move on the horizon could be the departure of head coach Mike McDaniel, either during or after the upcoming season, and much of that seems to depend on Tua Tagovailoa’s performance.

“McDaniel led the Dolphins to back-to-back playoff appearances to start his coaching career. Last season, they went 8-9 and missed the playoffs,” USA Today’s Jacob Camenker wrote. “McDaniel will be under pressure to earn his first playoff win in 2025 and could find himself in trouble if he can’t find more ways to support – or succeed without – Tua Tagovailoa.”

Tyreek Hill recently made it clear that he believes Tagovailoa is the best quarterback in the game and will help lead the Dolphins in the AFC.

“We all know Tua is the best quarterback in the NFL,” Hill said.

If the Dolphins want Tagovailoa to succeed even more, they could make one last key addition. In ESPN’s Aaron Schatz’s final offseason move suggestion, he urges Miami to sign veteran Keenan Allen.

“Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle give the Dolphins two excellent outside receivers, but there are questions about the slot,” Schatz wrote. “Allen is 33 but still had 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in Chicago a season ago. He did poorly in ESPN’s receiver tracking metrics last season but still got open, as indicated by his 57 open score. Hill and Waddle would give Allen a ton of room to work with underneath, giving quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a nice security blanket.”

Adding Allen would be a huge move for the Dolphins, giving them a dependable slot receiver. All three would be dangerous weapons, making it difficult for defenses to lock them all down.
