76ers predicted cut ties with Paul George in trade for $251 million former all-NBA guard

After a disastrous first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, there’s no telling if Paul George will be on the market this offseason or if the Sixers could feasibly trade him. George will finish his first year of a four-year, $212 million contract, and his first season in Philadelphia ended prematurely.

However, plenty of players are not on the best contracts and, by extension, have little trade value. One of them is Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal, who has not only been a bust in Phoenix but is also finishing his third year of a five-year, $251 million contract.

Because George and Beal are in the same ballpark, Bleacher Report proposed a trade swapping one for the other. While second-round picks are also swapped for one another, it’s George for Beal straight up.

Beal’s issues with Phoenix have stemmed from how redundant he is next to Devin Booker. While Beal may be a little redundant next to Tyrese Maxey, their skillsets aren’t the exact same, which could make it work.

Beal definitely has more appeal than George does. Not only does his contract go for only two more years at most, compared to George who has three, but he’s also younger. It’s hard to see the Sixers get much value out of George if they traded him, but Beal wouldn’t be the worst trade return.

The one caveat is that Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, meaning he dictates where he wants to go if the Suns decide to trade him. Even if the Sixers had interest in trading George for Beal, the feeling would have to be mutual to get a trade done.
