3 Toronto players that could be moved

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a team that has potential to see plenty of roster turnover this season as the squad expects to be a top performer in the east and especially when it matters come playoff time.

The organization has already seen quite a change in personnel this summer with the departure of long time Maple Leaf star Mitch Marner. The Leafs have brought in a squadron of depth pieces in an attempt to make up for the loss in players such as Matias Maccelli, Nick Roy and Dakota Joshua.

Nestor Quixtan of Heavy Sports has circled 3 Toronto players as possible options that could be on the move at some point this year based on how the season develops.

3 potential Toronto trade block pieces

Scott Laughton

As the Sporting News recently stated, Scott Laughton could be a player whose time in Toronto is shorter than expected. The recently acquired 2025 trade deadline forward will have to fight for ice time on a team loaded with depth on offense.

Max Domi

Domi still has 3 years remaining on his deal with the Maple Leafs. However, Toronto signed that contract back in 2023 with the assumption that Max would establish himself as a long term top 6 core forward member. That has not happened, at least it hasn’t on a consistent basis as Domi has bounced around the lineup. With a flurry of new arrivals looking to take his role, Domi’s spot in Toronto could be in jeopardy.

David Kampf

Kampf has 2 years remaining on his current contract in Toronto. He has been a useful player for the Leafs penalty kill, but his lack of offensive touch hurts his overall value. He could be a guy soon on the outside looking in with increased roster competition up front.
