3 teams that could trade for Jets’ Breece Hall

As the November 4th NFL trade deadline swiftly approaches, a litany of running backs are being listed in trade rumors.

The latest hot commodity? Jets’ running back Breece Hall. The fourth-year rusher is on a winless New York team that looks to be careening into the upper echelon of the 2026 NFL Draft.

So if the Jets do cut ties with Hall, where could he end up? Here’s a few potential suitors in a trade for the running back.

Houston Texans

The Texans have been in the market for a running back like Hall since before the season began.

Last year’s starter, Joe Mixon, has been nursing a foot injury suffered in the offseason and Houston has been forced to cobble together a rushing attack of veteran Nick Chubb and rookie Woody Marks.

Hall would immediately step into the backfield as the best running back. The Texans are also loaded with eight picks in the upcoming draft, enough assets to make a big swing on a player that could elevate the offense.

“I think Breece is just a dog. There’s no other way to really explain it,” Texans’ wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson said. “I’d just be happy if Breece was somehow able to come to the Houston Texans. That’d be great.”

Arizona Cardinals

Let’s talk about a team in need of some veteran leadership in their running back room.

The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a week where Emari Demarcado’s fumbled touchdown dominated the headlines and head coach Jonathan Gannon’s live reaction to the gaffe only furthered bad publicity.

The Cards are down to the bottom of their depth chart after injuries to starting James Conner and backup Trey Benson have depleted the roster.

Hall could become the future in Arizona as an aging Conner trends downwards and a young Benson can be a complimentary back.

Could Kyler Murray and Breece Hall combine for a speedy tandem in Glendale? If the Cardinals are willing to make a splash it could be a landing spot.

Los Angeles Chargers

This is another team that is elevating practice squad players after losing its top two running backs.

Veteran Najee Harris suffered a season-ending injury which set up rookie Omarion Hampton to become the bonafide bellcow back. Only problem? A couple weeks later Hampton was placed on IR with an ankle injury.

Now Greg Roman’s offense is down to Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal, neither name is particularly inspiring.

The Chargers are likely the best team out of these three. Sitting at the top of the AFC West with the Broncos, Los Angeles is in prime position to take a top-four seed in the conference.

If they traded for Hall, it would signify an “all-in” type move. With an excellent defense and Justin Herbert, the Chargers need to capitalize on the talented group they have.

Even if these destinations are easy to envision, Hall has already made it clear that he wants to stay a Jet.

If a team is really so desperate to move on the fourth-year running back, it looks like they’ll have to make a strong offer.
