Inter Miami face the second game of their Saudi Arabia tour as the MLS side take on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr on February 1.

The clash has been billed as reunion between old foes Lionel Messi and Ronaldo with both players now operating outside of European football.

Inter Miami are gearing up for the start of the 2024 MLS season, but they are winless in three friendlies, including a 4-3 defeat to Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal.

Inter Miami head coach Tata Martino could stick with an unchanged team from the Al Hilal loss with Messi partnered in attack by Luis Suarez.

Despite Saudi Arabia being eliminated at the Round of 16 stage, several players are still travelling back from Qatar, with Sadio Mane absent following Senegal’s AFCON exit.

Cristiano Ronaldo had been set to captain Al Nassr in this game as part of his build up to the new season but head coach Castro has now confirmed the game has come too soon and he’s set to sit out the match with a calf injury.

Martino’s squad is still a work in progress, and Al Nassr have home advantage, with the chances of Messi getting on the scoresheet very high.
