Major League Baseball’s Opening Day is here, and a busy Thursday slate promises great matchups and the return of the game’s superstars. For DFS purposes, that’s exactly what we’re hoping for — a full day of baseball to pick from.

Using a DFS platform like Underdog Fantasy allows fans to choose which players — stars or not — will have big games, so let’s take a look at the best DFS promos and picks for MLB Opening Day. Our Underdog promo code TSNBET scores a $100 deposit match for new customers.

Rainouts have wiped out two East Coast games, including the early game: Mets vs. Brewers, which was scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET. The Braves and Phillies have also postponed their Opening Day tilt until Friday. That still leaves a huge window of Opening Day baseball beginning at 3:05 in Baltimore and running through West Coast nightcaps in Seattle and Arizona at 10:10 p.m. ET.

DFS picks for MLB Opening Day

Here are picks to consider on MLB Opening Day on DFS sites and apps like Underdog, Betr and SuperDraft.

Mike Trout 0.5 total bases: HIGHER

Trout is now the only superstar on the Angels, and one thing is sure: Regardless of who he has played with in his career, he has been a stud when healthy. No better time to take advantage for DFS purposes than looking to the future Hall of Famer on Opening Day.

Juan Soto 0.5 total bases: HIGHER

The Yankees star addition to their outfield and lineup will want to show out on opening day. One total base is an easy line for a player the caliber of Soto.

Shohei Ohtani 1.5 total bases: HIGHER

Ohtani has had a lot of noise surrounding him, and not the good kind. For the moment, though, he will continue to be a staple in the Dodgers lineup. One thing to remember is how fast Ohtani is, along with his power. He could easily hit a home run or get a single and follow it up with a steal to get at least two total bases.

Yu Darvish 2 earned runs allowed: LOWER

After pitching in the Seoul Series in Korea, Darvish comes into MLB Opening Day with a start under his belt. That will give him a leg up, and he has already had an outing with under two earned runs. With a lower pitch count this early in the season, Darvish will pitch a strong four or five innings and give up one or fewer runs.

Note: The Braves and Phillies rescheduled their Opening Day game for Friday, March 29. Here is a DFS pick for that game.

Spencer Strider 0.5 1st inning runs allowed: LOWER

The Braves ace racked up 281 strikeouts last season in 186.2 innings. The Braves Opening Day starter will come out throwing hard, and while he won’t have the endurance for a long start, it would be surprising to see him give up any runs in the first inning. Even if he gives up a base hit or a walk, he can strike out multiple batters to escape most jams.
