The Texas Rangers won 2-of-3 games over the weekend against AL West rivals Houston Astros. Texas enters Monday with a 74-70 record.

Texas Rangers Tough Week Is Ahead
Texas will begin a three-game series at home starting on Monday night against the Milwaukee Brewers (89-55). Milwaukee is the best team in the MLB, and they have proved it all season long. After this series for the Rangers, they will have an off day on Thursday and then face the New York Mets on the road.
The series will begin on Friday at Citi Field in Flushing, New York for three games. The Mets have a 76-67 record so far this season and they are holding onto the final wild card spot in the National League at the moment. Over the next six games, it will be interesting to see if Texas will be able to prove if they can potentially be a playoff team or not in 2025.
If they can’t make the playoffs in 2025, Texas will miss then miss the playoffs for the second straight season. They are going to have to go at least 4-2 or 5-1 during the next six games in order to give themselves a chance. The Rangers do not face the Mariners anymore this season. If they do miss the playoffs, it will be the second straight season they have missed the playoffs under manager Bruce Bochy since winning the World Series during the 2023 season against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
