Richardson Hitchins vs Gustavo Lemos fight date, start time, odds, price and card for 2024 boxing event

The super lightweight division is home to some of the best fighters in the world. Devin Haney joined the division with intentions to be the undisputed champion. Richardson Hitchins could be a champion if he plays his cards right.

Hitchins faces Gustavo Lemos in an IBF title eliminator in Las Vegas on April 6. The fight at 140 airs on DAZN.

The New York-born Hitchins turned pro in 2017 after an attempted run at the Olympics. He won local IBF gold in 2022. The 26-year-old last fought in September, scoring a decision win against former world title contender Jose Zepeda.

Hitchins views himself as one of the best super lightweights in the world. The IBF super lightweight champion is Subriel Matias, who will defend his title against Liam Paro later this year. A win against Lemos could result in a title shot, something he believes he deserves.

“None of them are f—— with me,” said Hitchins about the division via Boxing Scene. “I’m the best 140-pounder in the m—– f—— world.”

Lemos turned pro in 2016. “El Electrico” has held local gold at super lightweight for years. He beat Lee Selby in 2022 via TKO and returned to action in December, beating Javier Jose Clavero via TKO.

The only title fight on the card will be Skye Nicolson vs. Sarah Mahfoud for the WBC featherweight title. Nicolson is the mandatory challenger, while Mahfoud is a former IBF featherweight champion. The title became vacant after Amanda Serrano relinquished it after the WBC wouldn’t budge on its stance regarding women’s boxing and three 12-minute rounds.
