
US Open title favourite Nick Kyrgios is aiming to win his first major but faces an obstacle in Russia’s Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST).
By seedings, the duo are evenly matched with Kyrgios (23rd) slightly ahead of Khachanov (27th) after his success in ATP Tour events in 2022.
But the Australian is missing the rankings points from his run to the Wimbledon final and will go into the match as a hot favourite.
